![]() Note: Before doing all of the above, do not forget to backup your "AppData\Local\Fallout 4" and Mod Manager folders. Nexus Mod Manager does not seem to do that (not sure why as it should support the new "plugins.txt" format). After copying the files in AppData you have to modify the "plugins.txt" and put an asterisk * in front of every plugin you want to be enabled. May be this could be made into a junction instead. Copy the content of "AppData\Local\Fallout 4" into "AppData\Local\Fallout4VR" before launching. When launching the game select "Launch Custom Fallout 4" instead of "Launch Fallout 4" by pressing the drop down. ![]() Go to "Settings -> Fallout 4 (tab) -> Custom Launch Command" and configure it to launch "Fallout4VR.exe". Set up a custom launcher inside Nexus Mod Manager. Add the following to the bottom of the "Fallout4Custom.ini" file inside the "\My Games\Fallout4VR" folder: According to "fo4edit" everything is fine and the game loads without issues. I installed CBBE and Realistic Survival Damage. When I pressed the "cross" symbol it searched for another installation containing "Fallout4.exe" and it found the Fallout 4 VR installation. It first found the non-VR Fallout 4 (that I have installed as well). Installed Mod Manager and let it search for Fallout 4. I placed the "fo4edit" directory inside the Fallout 4 VR installation folder so it will find the correct data folder instead of the non-VR Fallout4 one. Use this same method to tweak any setting that isn't to your preference.- Copied "Fallout4VR.exe" to "Fallout4.exe" and "Fallout4Launcher.exe" inside the Fallout 4 VR installation folder If you don't like them, set this value to "0" either in-game or by tweaking the enbeffect.fx file in your root directory. The most common settings players tweak is "LETERBOX_BARS," a setting that enables black bars on the top and bottom of your screen. You can tweak with any setting you want in here. In-game, press "shift" and "enter" to open the ENB menu. If done correctly it should show up in the 'Managed' tab. Once installed go to the 'games' tab on the sidebar and than to 'discovered' and allow Vortex to manage FO4 VR. ![]() You can manually alter an ENB's properties yourself. Once download, run and install the utility and login to your Nexus account. Suppose you install an ENB that has some settings you don't like, fret not. Launch Fallout 4 through your mod manager to see how it looks. If it needs to override any files, allow the ENB to do so. You'll want to drop all of the mod's files into your Fallout 4 root directory. Following INI settings are recommended to allow Sim Settlements 2 to use more CPU time. You want to select "Manual Download" for an ENB. So there are few knowledge bases to follow for a solid experience. Now that your binaries are installed, download an ENB off the Nexus website. The ENB you'll install through your mod manager will take care of the remaining files. As with console modding, you'll also have to keep track of your game's load order as you add mods. After you've installed a manager and linked it, you only need to complete steps three through seven. You'll only need to complete the first two steps once.
